Who says you can’t turn up to a symphony orchestra? Kendrick Lamar held a one-off show at the Kennedy Centre overnight, backed up by the incredible National Symphony Orchestra. According to the centre, he played a slew of his past tracks, including some of the gems from the most recent album To Pimp a Butterfly. ’These Walls’ already feels like one of those rap ballads but a rendition from an entire orchestra elevates it completely. Sounds like a pretty perfect date activity to me.
In case you missed it, Kendrick will be bringing his TPAB live show to Australia next year. Not sure whether we’ll be given this kind of a sonic treat but it will get you pretty hyped for it anyway… as long as you managed to score a ticket. Check out the footage above.
